Location here in Montreal is fantastic!!!So close to the metro which will get you everywhere but you can take in the jazz fest and so many good places to shop and eat just by walking! This place is trendy and fun...Accomodations and facility are very good!

Do you have a family room? We are considering to book one of those kinds. There are 4 adults (2 males, 2 females) and 3 kids (7, 4, 2 years old). We will stop over Montreal for the trip to PEI this summer. Is there any room availabe for us on the 8th and 14th July? Can we check in at within 10:00-11:00pm on the 8th?

1.Is there a curfew? (we are kind of club people, but we don't stay out until 3 in the morning)
2.We are from michigan,what's the easiest and least expensive to get to montreal. without taking a plane or train (train doesn't run straight there...and it's quite expensive!)

I will be in town for the Montreal Jazz Fest and have reservations to stay at the Hostel. I was also wondering how far away the hostel is from the Plateau Mont-Royal
neighborhood and what transportation you would recommend to get there.

Bonjour je voudrais savoir si c'est possible de reserver pour une durées allant de un mois a deux mois en demi duran l'été car mon amie et moi voulons prendre des cours d'Anglais et trouver un travail pour l'été a Toronto. Cependant il nous est presque impossible de louer un appartement a bas prix et surtout seulement pour deux moi !! Mous vous demandons si vous pouvez nous aider. Bonjour HI-Montréal,
Just wish to tell you guys that your hostel was pretty neat and I had a good time in Montréal. Your staff was pretty cool too. Thanks for the mademoiselle who checked me in (23/03) and the young man who checked me out (4:45 am on 26/03), as well as another young man who reserved the L'Aérobus for me...And not the least, the guy who served breakfast at the café.
Just one more question: does your hostel sell any hostel-related souvenir items on line such as cups or t-shirts? If you guys do, it would be really cool to get some.
I missed the bar tour on 25/03 because I had some last minute things to do, but perhaps next time. Thanks again and I hope to be back in Montréal another time.

1. Does the Cafe Globe Trotter serve 3 meals a day and what are the operating hours?
2. Is the Canadian spring break this week (week of March 16) or next week (week of March 23)?
3. Do you have additional showers/ bathrooms located on each floor just in case the bathroom in each room is occupied?
4. What is the bar tour like? I think I read that it starts at 8:30pm and ends when? Do you have people that don't drink much alcohol still sign up for this tour?

I'll be visting MTL from 23-26 March (Sunday-Wednesday) and would like to know what activities the HI-Montreal will have and are any special events going on in MTL during these days? Also, will many places be closed down for Easter/Paques and/or spring break?
Have you finished installing all the lockers in each room? Are towels and bed linens changed daily or are they provided only once for the entire duration of one's stay?
The airport shuttle is $14 and the VIA AirConnect is $11+tax, so they're both pretty much the same. What's the name of the airport shuttle and what is its schedule? My departing flight to Los Angeles is at 9:00am and how early does the shuttle bus being operation? Can I make reservation online or at the hostel?

Been living in Montreal for 8 years, but leaving this wonderful city on Jan 2009 for my 2 years worldwide expedition and then settling Down somewhere is South America or South East Asia. So I was planning to make Montreal as my starting point to my wild journey. I'm a member of HI, but never spent any nights in Montreal as a traveler or with backpackers. I was thinking to spend a week in a montreal hostel before I leave for Central America in September 2008. OK...just trying to make sure that local ppl like me are welcomed to stay at ur place...(unlike NC) ....thats all.

I am planning on staying at your hostel from March 19-23 in a private room, with my friend. It is possible to purchase $35 Canadien tickets vs. the Boston Bruins on 3/22 when I call to make my reservation, correct?
Also I have an ISIC card. How much discount will this give me? If both my friend and I have a ISIC card will we get a larger discount?
Also, what are the best night clubs located right near the hostel?

Stayed there over the last weekend of September '07 and had a great time in that city. The location of the hostel was very convenient to the underground Metro which made travelling the city easy. The staff had good knowledge of the city and the two tours I went on with Chris and Julian were fun. The staff was also good answering my questions and the food from the diner was also good. I thought the rooms were good and the bathrooms fairly clean considering the volume of traffic in that place. All in all, my very first hostelling experience was an 8 out of 10 as there is always room for improvement. Possibly offer lockers that I can provide a lock for. All I can think of for now. I'll be arriving to Montreal on Tusday 09/18 and then travelling to Quebec and from there south to get to know other places like Toronto and Niagara Falls. The trip will take about 2 weeks.
