full credit to the hostel staff, in particular chris. The activities were well worth doing and were fun, i did the bike tour and the tam pax tour. They were great. Even went to watch some improv comedy with the group, i thought that would be balls but it was really entertaining. keep up the good work guys!

Location here in Montreal is fantastic!!!So close to the metro which will get you everywhere but you can take in the jazz fest and so many good places to shop and eat just by walking! This place is trendy and fun...Accomodations and facility are very good!

Just wish to tell you guys that your hostel was pretty neat and I had a good time in Montréal. Your staff was pretty cool too. Thanks for the mademoiselle who checked me in (23/03) and the young man who checked me out (4:45 am on 26/03), as well as another young man who reserved the L'Aérobus for me...And not the least, the guy who served breakfast at the café.
Just one more question: does your hostel sell any hostel-related souvenir items on line such as cups or t-shirts? If you guys do, it would be really cool to get some.
I missed the bar tour on 25/03 because I had some last minute things to do, but perhaps next time. Thanks again and I hope to be back in Montréal another time.

I'll be visting MTL from 23-26 March (Sunday-Wednesday) and would like to know what activities the HI-Montreal will have and are any special events going on in MTL during these days? Also, will many places be closed down for Easter/Paques and/or spring break?
Have you finished installing all the lockers in each room? Are towels and bed linens changed daily or are they provided only once for the entire duration of one's stay?
The airport shuttle is $14 and the VIA AirConnect is $11+tax, so they're both pretty much the same. What's the name of the airport shuttle and what is its schedule? My departing flight to Los Angeles is at 9:00am and how early does the shuttle bus being operation? Can I make reservation online or at the hostel?

Been living in Montreal for 8 years, but leaving this wonderful city on Jan 2009 for my 2 years worldwide expedition and then settling Down somewhere is South America or South East Asia. Stayed there over the last weekend of September '07 and had a great time in that city. The location of the hostel was very convenient to the underground Metro which made travelling the city easy. The staff had good knowledge of the city and the two tours I went on with Chris and Julian were fun. The staff was also good answering my questions and the food from the diner was also good. I thought the rooms were good and the bathrooms fairly clean considering the volume of traffic in that place. All in all, my very first hostelling experience was an 8 out of 10 as there is always room for improvement. Possibly offer lockers that I can provide a lock for. All I can think of for now. I know that Hi-Montreal is in downtown, but in relation to Old Montreal or Central Station, how far is it and how would I get to these two places?

I just got the news that I've been accepted to study at McGill as an exchange student in the coming year. I was wondering if you people know the McGill housing market. Bonjour! I am coming from Scotland at the end of September to visit a friend who is studying in Montreal - Plans have not been confirmed as yet...and probably will be last minute!....so I was wondering how easy it is to book a room at HI Montreal or the other Hi Hostels at this time of year (I presume it is a little quieter)? Or even turning up on the day on the off chance there is a bed available?? Been on a East Coast Moose Tour last summer, which was great fun!
