Centaur Theatre Company (Old Montréal)
From the classics to the contemporary, Centaur Theatre Company produces theatre for our times - theatre that reflects the pulsating, ever-changing world around us and theatre that celebrates the vibrant voice of today's Montreal. Series for kids and youth available.
 
Contemporary Art Museum (Downtown)
The only museum devoted to contemporary arts in Canada. It features works from Québec, as well as Canadian and international artists.

The Montréal Symphonic Orchestra’s artistic excellence is well known throughout the world. If offers about a hundred concerts per year and during the summer season, a series of free outdoor concerts in the parks. Youth concerts and Public rehearsals available (precise dates during the year).

Centre d’histoire de Montréal (Old Montréal)
Located in a former fire station, this interpretative centre traces the history of Montréal, from its foundation up to now.

At the heart of Montréal life for more than 300 years, the Château Ramezay has been conserving and presenting our heritage since 1895. It offers the opportunity to relive history through its permanent exhibition and its garden, and it also organises many educational and cultural activities linked to the life of Montréal’s community.

Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site of Canada (Lachine)
This unique historical warehouse houses an exhibition that enables visitors to relive the Montréal fur epic.

Accompanied by one of their guides or historical characters, visitors will discover the architecture and cultural life of Montréal, as well as its history and development. Many guided visits offered, by walk, by bus or by bike! Rallyes and “Old Montréal Ghosts tours” available.

Maison Saint-Gabriel (In South-West Montréal)
Architectural jewel of Montréal’s past, this house was first built for receiving the King’s Wards from 1668 to 1673. Declared a monument of national interest in 1965, it was restored and transformed into a museum in 1966.

The McCord Museum is a public research and teaching museum dedicated to the preservation, study, diffusion, and appreciation of Canadian history. To make this heritage accessible to all, the Museum offers exhibitions, cultural activities, guided tours, school tours and publications.

Notre-Dame Basilica (Old Montréal)

Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History (Old Montréal)
Located on Montréal’s own foundation site, this museum highlights important archaeological remains as well as a unique collection of objects and artefacts found during the site’s excavations.

Sir Georges-Étienne-Cartier National Historic Site of Canada (Old Montréal)
Only house from the Victorian era open to general public all year round. It commemorates the life and accomplishments of one of the Fathers of Confederation, Sir George-Étienne Cartier. The reconstitution of the two adjoining homes of the Cartier family also serves to recall the architectural heritage left by the upper middle class of 19th century Montreal.

Stewart Museum (Ste-Hélène Island, Jean-Drapeau Park)

Museum of natural and environmental sciences featuring alive collections of plants and animals. It recreates some of the most beautiful ecosystems of the Americas: the Tropical Forest, the Laurentian Forest, the St.Lawrence Marine ecosystem and the Polar Worlds.

Biosphere (Ste-Hélène Island, Jean-Drapeau Park)
In the 10 years since its opening in 1995, Environment Canada’s Biosphere has been a showcase for environmental education. The Biosphere raises the awareness of young people and their families about major environmental issues, including those related to water and climate change, and the sustainable development of the Great Lakes – St Lawrence ecosystem.

With its collection of 22,000 plant species and cultivars, 10 exhibition greenhouses, some thirty thematic gardens, and teams of researchers and activities staff, the Montréal Botanical Garden ranks as one of the world's largest and most spectacular botanical gardens. Admission to the Botanical Garden also gives access to the Insectarium.

Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Downtown)

Insectarium (In Eastern Montréal)
Unique in North-America, the Insectarium invites you to discover the wonders of the insect world and their essential part in ensuring the Earth’s ecological balance. You’ll find hundreds of live specimens. Admission to the Insectarium also gives access to the Botanical Garden.

NFB & CineRobotheque (Latin Quarter)
The CineRobotheque is the NFB's distribution and consultation centre in downtown Montréal. It houses some 8,200 films, all of which are available for onsite viewing. Many activities and workshops for youth offered. planetarium.gif

Planetarium (Downtown)
The marvels of the universe presented in clear and simple terms. The Planetarium’s shows explore time and space, revealing the fascinating world of astronomy and space exploration.

Science Centre – IMAX (Old Port)
The Science Centre's amazing, fun, and surprising exhibitions allow visitors to explore, learn, and understand through a variety of interactive means. It’s also the location of the IMAX cinema.

AML Cruises (Old Port)
King-Edward Pier in the Old Port is host to Cavalier Maxim, AML's main ship in the city.
